HP ProBook 440 G4 Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)

For years I've logged into my laptop using biometrics, with my company AD password set in the HP Security software where I also register my fingers for login.

After latest HP software updates, that software has disappeared and I can't find it to re-register my fingers or change my password.

Any clue as to why the software would have been removed?
No, I don't use Windows Hello and never will.

It would have been nice if you had stated the installed OS.

I see the Synaptics (validity)fingerprint  sensor driver as being present at the software and driver portal for your laptop.

You could use Windows System Restore and roll back the system to a date before the software vanished.

I suggest backing up all of your data before you try the System Restore method.
