Bios Update

I have upgraded this PC to windows 10 from Windows 8.1.In software and drivers page there is a bios update present.

So is it safe to update the Bios??The new version shown is F.2C Rev A and installed version is F.27.

I would not do BIOS update simply because your support page has one or HP support assistant software notified you.

Also just to make you aware, BIOS update through HP support assistant software has bricked many computers, just go through these forum discussion and you could read their experiences.

You should update BIOS only if:
1. The update fixes a problem with your computer.
2. The update enhances your computer's performance in a desired way.
3. You are planning to change the operating system, processor, or other feature(s), and the current BIOS version will not support the new configuration.

I appreciate the way you thought about the BIOS update . 

 Just because there is an update for your BIOS does not mean that you should necessarily install it.

It’s a myth that BIOS updates somehow make your computer faster or run better. In some rare instances, a BIOS update can fix a motherboard issue that might make your computer perform better, but it’s usually not related to speed.

For example, a BIOS update may help solve an overheating issue. Also, many BIOS updates are released that simply support new hardware like a new CPU model or graphics card. If you specifically need this new hardware, then it’s probably worth taking the risk to install it. If not, then you should simply stick with your current BIOS because the new BIOS won’t make any difference and could actually cause more problems.

You may update the BIOS but please follow the right guidelines. Below document will help you !
