Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Need i change any bios settings for connecting nvme ssd. In some reviews they said, we need to change to ahci mode. Is it correct?

But i cant see that option in bios

Yes it will:

 

Service Manual

 

Start on p. 38 for rear cover removal. Be careful not to stretch out the rubber feet. 

 

A PM981 will work. That is likely what HP would supply if the laptop is ordered with one.

You don't need to change anything. Don't make any changes in the BIOS just install the NVME M.2 in the M.2 slot.

 

AHCI means SATA so I really question if anybody said set AHCI for an NVME M.2 SSD. It would make no sense.
