Bios update DV600

Current bios F16, model DV6220EA, I try to  extended RAM to 4gb

I cant update bios using the tool from the topic linked below - #sp48121

Hi:

It may be possible that you can't update the BIOS because the file was written to be run using Windows XP or Windows Vista.

You can also try the BIOS update file from this reputable 3rd party driver website at the link below.

I can back to oryginal  hdd disc and old win system (vista) than try,

It must be that W10 is not compatible with running the file.

It was win10   
After assembling the oryginal HDD and win Xp BIOS was succesffully updated. 
So albo 4gb RAM is working now. 
I can utilyze HP laptop in my garage for cars diagnostoc.

The 4gb ram is working 2x2gb hovewer the system win10 32bit is using only the 3gb.  So because of hardware limitations it the maximum what I can squeeze from this old laptop

Yes, that is normal for that model series to only have a max of 3 out of 4 GB of memory available.

Even if you installed a 64-bit operating system, the result would be the same...3 GB.
