Hello i need help.I have dv6835,but I can't find page my old laptop on support page.I want to upgrade this device, I need an update of bios.

You're very welcome.

 

I think that F.58 will support the T8100, T8300 and T9500 processors.

 

I believe the update that added support for the above processors was F.45.

Solved: Upgrade Processor HP Pavilion dv6870ee - HP Support Community - 6387691

 

HP has removed the revision history info from the older BIOS releases.

 

Here are the info and exe links to the last BIOS update HP released for your notebook...

Hi:

 

HP retired support for the dv6800 model series a few years ago. 

 

That is why you can't find a support page anymore.

 

The BIOS update files were only written to be run in XP or Vista, and you are running Windows 7.

 

If your notebook has an AMD processor and you try to update the BIOS in W7, you will destroy the notebook making it inoperable.

 

If your notebook has an Intel processor, some folks have reported success updating the BIOS in W7.

 

Let me know what model processor your notebook has, and I will give you the links to the last BIOS update HP released for it.

 

If it has an AMD processor, you will need to install ether XP or Vista to update the BIOS.

Hi thanks for the help. Here are the specs of laptop

quanta 30D2

GeForce 8400GM

I am thinking of changing the processor to t8300 + put ssd+put 4GB ddr2 ram.

Now i have bios version F.58 (06/16/2008)

will this processor work(t8300) on this bios f.58 without update?
