Spectre x360 15"
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Over the past few months the bottom of my laptop has come unstuck. The trackpad is getting raised slightly. I have never once dropped my laptop and it seems like the screws are intact. From what I have read online, apparently the HP Spectre x360 has a problem with its batteries bulging, which can be a fire hazard. I am looking for a solution to this problem.

This has not solved my problem. My laptop is no longer under warranty but the battery has bloated, basically making parts of the device nonfunctional. Others have this problem. I simply want a new battery, as it seems HP was aware of this issue.

@BenRkv

Thank you for posting back.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

Thank you. I hope they reach out soon, as this has become a very stressful situation. It seems many people have this problem and have for years. I have been a big HP fan for a long time but I can't justify recommending these or other products to people if HP cannot even get replacement batteries for this unsafe swelling.

Hi, can you please let me know when to expect a message from HP Support? I am very nervous about a fire, or my laptop breaking.
