Hello @nickdbr

In the near future, the thermal paste for CPU and GPU should be renewed.

Keep an eye on the temperatures and report back if you are satisfied with the solution or not.

Kind regards

Just had another black screen while playing Victoria 3. I find it quite odd that I have to renew my thermal paste, as I only bought this laptop 3 months ago. I am also not going to open up my (new) laptop to apply paste as this voids my warranty. I'm not sure if there's anything else I can do on my end. Is there any way to get a reparation started in the Netherlands or get my laptop swapped as I have not been able to enjoy gaming for longer than 1 hour without it crashing. I paid around €1300,- for this laptop and I am deeply dissapointed with the product I received.

Hello @nickdbr

My options are exhausted...

Recommendation and possible solution

HP warranty valid -> Contact HP Support for service repair. HP technican shoud fix it / BSOD analysis / HP (graphics) driver update ...

Kind regards

I have sent an e-mail, will call tomorrow. Doubt it has anything to do with the graphics driver, as that is already updated. Will post again to inform about that status of reparation.

Hello @nickdbr

HP prevents the installation of the latest graphics drivers from manufacturer NVIDIA or AMD. However, the "certified" drivers published by HP are often outdated and that is biggest problem !

Keep me updated.

Kind regards
