HP G62-b31EE Notebook PC

Hi.

I have 1 stick of 2gb of ram (2GB 1RX8 PC3-10600S-09-10-ZZZ) I wanted to upgrade it to 8gb with 2x4gb (4GB 1Rx8 PC3L-12800S-11-13-B4) but when I installed them I got a blue screen and the computer turns off and then turns on again

. What I can do?

Hi:

The problem you have is the memory is not compatible.

The DDR3L-1600 memory cannot go back two clock speeds to 8500 MHz, but the DDR3-1333 MHz memory can go back one clock speed to 8500 MHz.

You need to find a specific design memory chip.

PC3-10600, 1.5V, and it must have 8 little black memory chips on each side of the circuit board, not 4.

A design and spec like this...

Motoeagle DDR3 1333MHz SODIMM 8GB Kit (2x4GB), 2RX8 PC3 10600S 4GB 204 Pin 1.5V Laptop Memory at Ama...

You're very welcome.

There are no adjustments you can make in the BIOS, so your only option would be to find memory like I described.
