I was unable to find a replacement digitizer and thought I would try the screen upgrade anyway.  

 

The QHD screen works with full touch and active stylus, but I Have a new problem... My notebook will not automatically enter Tablet Mode nor will it rotate.  Also, when flipped around, the keyboard will not disable.  *sigh* 

 

I've updated all the drivers and I'm not sure what I should try next.  I'm curious what you think of this.

I am afraid I am at the limits of my technical expertise when it comes to how touchscreens and autorotation work. There is a gyroscope I know and it may or may not be part of the digitizer. In other words the digitizer may need replacement with one designed for the QHD screen before autorotate will work right.
