HP ENVY 15t
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I purchased a loaded up HP Envy 15t to ensure longevity in 2013. As noted by many other users, the hinge on the left side where the display connects to the laptop has broken. There was no "incident", ie. drop, physical event, that caused this. It simply became disconnected after routine use. Of course, it is out of warranty. The laptop still works fine and would have a lot of use left in it if the display wasn't hanging on the left side due to the broken hinge. Given the number of similar reports it seems this is a design defect in these models. Is this fixable?
