Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Closing my laptop one day caused my screen to break.  Upon further inspection, I found that the hinge was the cause of the problem.  My incident happened right before my 1 yr warranty, however, I didn’t not realize it until after my warranty just expired.  This looks to be a common issues with these laptops, and I’m wondering if anyone has been able to get this issue resolved outside of warrant with consumer law.  Thanks for any help!
