HP Notebook - 17-by1053dx

Hello,

I am hoping to contact an HP representative to assist with this issue. My laptop has a broken hinge which causes the top portion of the body (case) to separate from the bottom portion when closing. I brought my laptop in to Best Buy (HP authorized service dealer) who advised that this issue is a design flaw and happens all of the time. Best Buy sees this issue regularly and  recommended that I contact HP to see if there has been a recall for it to be fixed or if they will stand behind their product and fix it anyway.

I attempted to contact HP but can only get routed to the HP Community because my warranty is expired. I am hoping that someone from HP monitors this and can provide assistance. Although the laptop is two years old, it's mostly been used as a desk top and is only opened to turn it on.

Your help is appreciated!
