I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

I have an HP Envy 15T and my right hinge just broke AGAIN. I had it fixed by HP in March, 2015, and now about a year and a half later, the right hinge is broken again.
As other people state, I am very careful with my computer. Most of the time I leave it sitting on the desk, open, and don't move it much, but sometimes I have to close the display lid and put it in the case to go with me, and today I heard the plastic break inside, the screw is gone, and when slowly closing the display the case pops open at the hinge. A piece of black plastic came out when I turned the laptop sideways.
Obviously a design flaw, the weight of the screen and hinges being held together by a tiny plaster piece.
I wish HP would let me upgrade to another type of computer as this one is obviously going to continue breaking even with my careful use of the laptop.
Looking for any and all assistance.
Thank you,
Mark Hodgin

I am having this same issue. I have a 15in HP Envy and the right hinge is coming apart, so much so that i'm afraid to close it, and my warranty expired in June. I've seen so many complaints about this same problem, how is there no recall. What can be done about this?

I have the same issue as everyone else with broken hinges. I have not closed my envy m6-1125dx in over a year because I don't want the computer to completely break. There is nothing wrong with the laptop besides the hinges and the laptop i bought as a replacement just didn't compare so I returned it. I want to get this computer fixed. When I called into customer service they said since I am out of warrenty allIi can do is take it to best buy's geek squad. Please tell me there is another option as geek squad told me it would be 4-6 weeks that I would be without my laptop. Any information would be great. Thanks.

Hi,
I have the exact same problem as the other people here. The first time this happend I still had my warranty. Now one year later the hinge broke again. I expectedthat an expensive laptop would live a little bit longer, at least as long as my study.
