I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post serial numbers and case details.

Hello, I hope this gets to the right person.  If anyone could tell me how to contact Jeff that would be wonderful. My HP Envy Notebook is out of warranty, but I too have a broken hinge.  I can't afford to buy a new laptop after just 2 years. Like many on here, the hinge suddenly started giving me trouble very quickly, but I had no idea it would just continue to get worse! I am not sure how it happened as it was not dropped, but it seems to be a reaccuring problem for others. Please help.

Thanks so much!

WHT is it with the boiler plate replies from supposed HP employees. Does HP e end give dam about people who spent near or over $1000.00 for a laptop, only to have it fall apart? I have had many HP products that were reliable and we'll built. This one is the exception that will break my faith in HP. Let's hear from HP with a valid admission that these laptops are faulty and they are going to treat us like valued consumers, not dirt. HP, get your act together and correct this problem us people who put our faith and hard earned .one in you. We need action, not boilerplate BS replies.

You have my email address. Let me hear from you.

Please excuse my typos in the previous message. Not easy to type on a small phone.

I have been contacted by someone and we exchanged about 12 email with her asking me the serial number, photogrph of the problem and other issues. Provided her same info about three times. She was not  able to tell me how much  it woudl cost the repair, saying that somehing wougl be 15% of the tax???? In the end a kind of supervisor contacted me asking the same iformation, and we exchanged about 3 emails. In the last email he kindly told me I could contact a help line number - I think to tell them what my problem was. He was not wery  specific about why I should contact them. All in all, I had the feeling I was deaing with people with limited cognitive abilities, and I received no help. Reached the conclusion HP is a **bleep**ty make, and will no longer by from them. I  do no longer want to repair my laptop. There is no further need for anybody to make contact with me about that.

They asked me details and never got back with me. I have 3 HP laptops and will never allow anyone I know to buy one again. They have a major issue here and they won't acknowledge it and step up.

I'm hoping to reach someone at HP who can help me repair the hinge on my son's Envy laptop. Please could you kindly get in touch.

Thanks

Here is the deal folks, if you are out of warranty, you pay to fix. But I encourage you to log your story here so they know. They are not stepping up to this until something bad happens. So use your laptop as a desktop, use duct tape, find one of the videos online on how to patch it back together, hope it lasts, and then next time don't buy HP. Easy as that, sucks to be us but that is how it works.

To all who have the broken hinge problem: Don't wast your time contacting HP. They won't help. Just do yourself and purchase a computer from another manufacturer.
