Hello, I am currently experiencing the exact same issue. My warranty expired on July 17 2019. I remember when i was looking to buy this laptop; one of the selling points listed on HP's website that they redesigned the hinges yada yada. I assumed this would not have the same hinge issues. Fast forward about 2 years and 3 months and I experience hinge issues. The laptop has not been dropped or damaged in any physical way. I barely even take around with me. Fortunately I can use the laptop on a daily basis with out any issues except for the fact that my lid won't close all the way. does anyone know how I could go about fixing this issue?
-Thanks!

I'm having the same problem and the same damages have resulted.
My model is the HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14m-cd0xxx.
With normal protective use, my laptop screen popped out at the bottom left corner. I believe this was the result of the left hinge not working and causing further damage. Since then, the glass at the bottom has broken, which resulted in a split across the screen. It now will detect touch on the screen in places I am not touching it, and causes glitching.
To make my laptop useable I have duck taped the lower corner and only keep it open . However the screen is still glitchy and often has to be restarted or repositioned.
Had the laptop been built to handle normal use (bending back and forth into ipad mode, and normal open and closing ) the hinge would not have broken and resulted in the cracked screen. This damage has been indicated by many customers in support threads.
Thank you.
