laptop 15-bs013dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The left side hinge is broken and closing it puts stress on the screen creating separation. It has not been dropped or handled inappropriately.  It never really seemed to be as smooth opening and closing as other laptops I've had, but I did not realize the hinge was actually pulling loose.  I don't close it up very often.  In review of similar problems on this site, I see that the hinge problem has been going on for a while.   I purchased this laptop on March 9, 2018 so it is not even 1 week over the one year mark. How can I get replacement part or have the unit repaired.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
