Hello everyone,
I want to report to the community my experience after entering in the Microsoft developer program:
I tried to update my laptop with the preview of the major release of Windows 11 24h2 which arrives within the end of this year.
I noted that the sound of my laptop was not working at all and, in the driver list, appeared the usual yellow icon for a missing audio driver. I was not able to find any driver audio and so I returned to the current released Windows 11 version 23h2.
My audio drivers contain Intel smart sound technology 10.25.0.6515 version.
I heard that this kind of driver caused a lot of problems during the users upgrade from W10 to W11 (Intel processor 11), only recently solved by a taskforce Windows-Intel-Manufactures.
Does anyone else experienced a similar issue?
I am concerned that my laptop will not be able to get the upgrade 24h2 even if it has all the requisites.
Thanks

Welcome to our HP community forum!
Short answer: don't worry about it -don't upgrade to 24H2 and keep using Windows 11 version 23H2 until all the bugs have been worked out, which may take a while. This is nothing new when dealing with a "beta" program -especially from Microsoft -but I digress.
As long as you keep updating the Security Intelligence updates for Microsoft's Defender Antivirus, you'll have time to wait.
Kind Regards,
