Hi,

So I have my personal HP notebook which I use most of the time during the day. These last few days it has been really hot in Italy. I heard an electrical short sound and the laptop turned off.

Opening the laptop I found the problem on the motherboard. I was wondering what woul cause such a burn, it goes quite deep into the board itself and if I could somehow fix it. Is it possible to have electronics diagram of that part of the board.

The computer remains with black screen even though fans, leds etc... all start up when pushing power button.

I must say this week I had two other HP computers brought into the store with burnt motherboards and my personal one is third.

Here are pictures of the motherboard and the burn  (636375-001)

Thank you in advance for your help,

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
