I am planning to buy HP17q-bu100TX 17.3" i5-8250U laptop online from a Chinese website. I couldn't find this model by Internet searches.
Question 1: Is this a genuine HP product?
Question 2: What is the base model for this computer (like HP Probook 470)?
Question 3: Where can I find the website for drivers and support for this model.
Thank you for your consideration and reply.

Hi academica,
Question 1: Is this a genuine HP product?
Answer: Yes, but you need to confirm that the seller is reputable. You could share the website and we can take a look.
Question 2: What is the base model for this computer (like HP Probook 470)?
Answer: HP sells many different types of laptops with several different lineups. Some include the Pavilion, Envy, Elitebook, and Spectre series. The product you are looking into has the full name of HP Notebook - 17q-bu100tx. Unfortunately, it seems that if an HP laptop has the generic name Notebook, it doesn't really fall into a lineup. Therefore the model doesn't really have a "base model" and instead falls in line with other generic 17" HP laptops.
Question 3: Where can I find the website for drivers and support for this model.
Answer: Here you go: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-17q-bu000-laptop-pc/15551428/model/18129027
I want to kindly remind you that if the computer is from a Chinese website (and even I can only find it from Chinese sellers), there's a chance it will come with a Chinese power cord and you will need an adapter if outside of China.
Hope this helps,
