CAN I CHANGE MY NOTEBOOK PROCESSOR OR UPGRADE

Hello @INTERNATIONALV,

I regret to inform you that due to the fact that your current processor uses a BGA socket (Ball Grid Array) which essentially deters any sort of upgrade, and because your computer's Maintenance and Service Guide only mentions one type of processor as compatible in the 6th generation Intel Core processors, you will not be able to upgrade your CPU.

What I can suggest is purchasing a brand new Motherboard although this will be expensive (may be equal to or greater in price than a new PC) and very risky for novices.

Hope this helps,

Eddy
