Product: HP Pavilion - 15-cc106nt
My DVD reader was not plugged into my laptop for a while. Now I plugged it into my laptop but my laptop does not detect it and my DVD reader does not work even though I press the button.
I can not see any driver in device Manager. just ı can see my new m2 ssd.
After removing the hard drive and installing the m2 ssd, I removed my DVD reader and never used it.
I think not about BİOS, I am using the latest BIOS version, f.36.

Hi @JMY5
What is the operating system that is installed?
"My DVD reader was not plugged into my laptop for a while."
That does not clearly state whether you are talking about an internal or an external USB optical drive.
