Elitebook 8470P
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I use this laptop for 10 months now. my CD rom was fine until July, 2020 when I noticed my disc it not working properly like the device itself was good but it didn't detect on My Computer or BIOS. I tried to update my BIOS but still no luck so I just abandoned it because no one uses CD rom these days.

Until I purchased a caddy and install to my laptop and still didn't detect.

Take note: The device itself is working but it didn't detect on My Computer, BIOS, diskmgmt, etc.

What could be the problem? Thank in advance!
