Hello os4hwks

Please try Installing the following driver and confirm. This is the Chipset driver-

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55095.exe

Can you even try providing the PID and VID for the unknown device? Please follow the steps below to obtain that info -

Click Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools.
In the right pane, double-click Computer Management.
In the left pane, select Device Manager.
In the right pane, search for the device you want to find the hardware ID.
Right-click on Device and select Properties.
In the Device Properties window, click the Details tab.
From the Property drop down list, select Hardware IDs. A VID and PID number displays in the format:
USB\VID_&PID_\

This all comes from USB wireless keyboard and mouse; latest drivers are there; will not recognize device;  have used keyboard and mouse for 2 yrs and just recently last few days incurred problem.
