My laptop is a HP Pavilion Intel Core i5-4288U CPU @ 2.60GHz. Can I upgrade the CPU as it is so slow.

Hi:
The processor is an integral part of the motherboard.
The only way to upgrade the processor would be to replace the motherboard with one listed in your notebook's service manual that may come with a better processor.
It would be very expensive to do, so it would not be good return on your investment.
