I wonder if I can upgrade a Pentium P6200 to an Intel Core I3 12100F in an HP G62.

What is your machine ? From Pentium P6200 to Core processor is a big leap, normally NO.

Hi, @DJtheGoat

The only processors you can upgrade to would be Intel Arrendale 1st generation dual core processors.

See chapter 1 of the service manual for the list of supported processors you can install.

Looks like the best processor you can upgrade to on the list would be the i7–620M processor.
