As soon as I boot up the device, the fans start running at full speed continuously, being very loud and annoying. Sometimes, they stop and then start again at full speed in pulses. My intuition is that the fans are working in a switch manner, as there is no progressive increase in the fan speed whatsoever, and there is no heavy load on the CPU. I ran a BIOS & Drivers Update, and ran all system diagnostics available with HP Support Assistant and HP Hardware Diagnostics.
