I wanted to upgrade my laptop CPU (Compaq cq42-451tu) for better performance. It currently has a pentium p6200 processor and i wanted to upgrade it's processor. Would like to know which processor I can upgrade it to. It has a rPGA socket 989 socket type. It has integrated HD graphics. If someone could help upgrade it too.

Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

Chapter 1 lists the supported processors.
The best one you can upgrade to would be the i7-620M.
