I was wondering, I was looking at the motherboard of the ProDesk600 G3 MT, looking for the NVME slot, since you have the best knowledge on this computer, I felt like you would know. I mean, I actually already know its next to the wlan slot, but I dont know how to get my ssd to work.

Hi @northwoozy

I'd love to help you out by doing two things.

1) Let me tag @NonSequitur777 for you.

2) I'll try to answer this question to the best of my knowledge:

Kindly refer to Chapter 4, Removal and Replacement Procedures, of the maintenance and service guide of your device:

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05382329.pdf

And Page #11 on the system board connectors to understand exactly where the SSD NVMe slot is located:

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05388266.pdf (Hardware reference guide)

That said, if you've been able to connect it and yet it isn't getting detected, I'll need more details to help you better:

  • Did you check if it's detected in BIOS?
  • Did you try this SSD on a different device to confirm it's working?
  • And Did you ensure it's compatible? To check its compatibility, see the tested list of components on page #7 of the computer major components in the maintenance guide mentioned above.

Take care and have an amazing day!
