HP Notebook - 14s-dk0093au
Microsoft Windows 11

I tried resetting the camera. Checked the camera accessibility as well as privacy settings. When I tried uninstalling the driver, the camera driver didn't install on its own on restart. Moreover, the option isn't there in the device manager anymore. System is up to date i.e. there are no pending updates. Drivers are up to date as per HP driver check.

  • An available BIOS update resolves a specific issue or improves computer performance.
  • The current BIOS does not support a hardware component or a Windows upgrade.

(1) Check BIOS if webcam is <enabled>

  • Select Advanced.
  • Select System Configuration.
  • Select Web Camera.
  • Ensure it’s set to Enabled.
  • Save and exit.

(2) test again ...
