Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.

I have gone through your Post and I would like to help

As per the Service Manual, your Notebook should have the option to support a 128-MB, M2.2280, SATA-3, solid state drive

Please refer to page 3 in this Service Manual: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05098448

Hope this helps

Keep me posted if you need further assistance

Hello again,

In the manual it writes as follows:

256-MB, M2.2280, solid-state drive supporting TLC for use on all computer models

128-MB, M2.2280, SATA-3, solid-state drive for use only on computer models with model number m6-
aq1XX

Still I need to kow what is the biggest size it can take. I want to buy a 1TB SSD and need to know if it will work or not?
If it won't work with the laptop what is the largest SSD i can get to fit it in?

Since your Notebook comes under the m6-aq1XX Series, it will only support max 128 GB SSD. There seem to be a typo in the User Guide and it's mentioned as 128 MB instead of 128 GB. You can try with a 256 GB and it might also work but 1 TB might not work and has never been tested by HP

Thank you
