Hello,
I brought my laptop HP pavilion 15-cc178cl 3 years ago and from last 20 days my laptop is not turning ON and I went to HP service center at Hyderabad and they confirmed that my 2 TB hard disk got crashed and now I want to setup SSD and HDD.
So could you please confirm whether my laptop is compatible for SSD if yes then for which size can I go for.
Note: I contacted to 2261014560 ( HP whatsapp chat with engineer) where he told my laptop is not having SSD compatibility. But wanna reconfirm.

Hi:
That model should have a M.2 slot that supports NVMe SSD's.
See chapter 1 of the service manual below for the supported drive types.
Solid-state drive:
For use only on computer models with model numbers 15-cc1xx and 15-cc6xx:
● 512-GB, 2280, Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe), Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe)
solid-state drive
● 256-GB, 2280, PCIe, NVMe solid-state drive
