I need to upgrade my Envy x360 ZBook 16 to WIndows 11, so I need TPM 2.0. I cannot find anyplace on your support website or in your support app that tells me whether my ZBook can be upgraded or not. The Spectre x360 ZBook, is shown to be upgradeable, but there is no entry for the Envy x360 ZBook 16. Can I use the same softpaq)

All right, let's do this.
First, let's find your Windows product key.
How?
Open Command Prompt as Administrator (type in: cmd, right-click, and select: Run as Administrator).
Copy/paste/enter: wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey
Your product key should be displayed.
If this doesn't work, use the Registry Editor:
Open Registry Editor (type in: regedit).
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
Look for the BackupProductKeyDefault key, which contains your Windows product key.
Write down your key.
Next, upgrade to Windows 11 by using Microsoft's "Create Windows 11 Installation Media" from here to make a bootable USB W11 stick. Then, run the downloaded executable (Windows11InstallationAssistant.exe) as administrator. Accept the license terms, and the tool will check your system for compatibility. As I mentioned, your PC should be compatible with and install Windows 11, prompting you to restart your device to complete the upgrade.
Please Note: if you got Windows 10 Home, you can only upgrade to Windows 11 Home, etc.
This should work, but if you run into any issues, let me know.

Welcome to our HP Community forum!
Yes, your HP Envy x360 16 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 16-ac0023dx as fitted with the Intel Core Ultra 7 155U processor is compatible with Windows 11 and does include support for the TPM 2.0 security feature.
The Intel Core Ultra series is part of the supported processor list for Windows 11, according to Intel and Microsoft. Specifically, the 155U model is listed as compatible with Windows 11 in various product descriptions and driver downloads.

I tried that, and I just tried it again several more times, and it says that my BIOS is not compatible with the upgrade.
If I let the support app detect my hardware, then select "Detect my Software and Drivers" it says "Detection not available." I'm wondering if that is because the Windows 10 OS selection is not available, so I have to select WIndows 11, and of course, that's what I'm trying to eventually install.
If I select a different ZBook (such as HP ZBook 15 G3 Mobile Workstation, but I've tried a few) from the list and tell it to "Detect my Software and Drivers", sometimes it works; but then if I select a BIOS update, it greys-out the update, saying "this BIOS is not compatible..."
And thank you for the quick reply.
I've now tried each of these things several times.

You are welcome!
TPM 1.2? -Yes, that is odd, given that your specs say, quote:
"Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0, firmware
TPM 2.0, discrete".
Just checking: do you have the latest BIOS version (F.04 Rev.A)?
You can get it here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-envy-x360-16-inch-2-in-1-laptop-pc-16-ac0000/model/210200765....

Actually, that's what I was trying to do, to update to the latest BIOS, and it kept failing. That's why I originally contacted you - to figure out why I couldn't install it. But I will try again.
... Ok, I tried it a few times - and it acts like it did before ...
* If I go directly to the desired BIOS download and answer the prompts, it says, "This BIOS is not compatible with this device."
* But if I go to "Downloads" and tell it to detect by hardware/software, it says "Detection Not Available - The PC you are currently using does not match the PC you have selected..."
* If I go to ALL downloads for BIOS and select the one you told me to, then once again, it says, "This BIOS is not compatible with this device."
* Before I installed Windows 11 and I was still on Windows 10, I had tried to install all (maybe almost all) of the BIOS updates for any HP ZBook x360, and they all did this same thing.
MOST INTERESTINGLY....
When I go through Windows 11 Settings ... Security Processor, it still says that I'm running TPM version 1.2, yet Windows 11 is running just fine on it.

Prior experience would suggest to me that since you upgraded to W11, you should be able to update your BIOS.
Also make sure you use the Microsoft Update ("Check for updates") first.
