No, the processor is soldered to the motherboard, you can only force the installation of windows.

No, you can't replace a CPU (well not cheaply).

 

I've installed Windows 11-24H2 on very old PC's that are not officially supported.  Get the latest ISO directly from Microsoft, then go to RUFUS.IE and prepare a bootable USB key.

 

I'm using Win11 on my 6th gen i5 HP desktop with ZERO issues.  I've installed Win11 on FIRST gen Core Intel (ie 14 yr old PC) and that too works perfectly.

 

The requirement of Microsoft and HW manufacturer claiming you need 8th gen or later is complete BS.

 

They will say 'not supported' but I am using Hyper-V, Photoshop, etc with high demands and everything is fine.
