Hi:
It depends on what model Intel chipset your notebook has.
Use the free utility that I zipped up and attached below to identify the chipset your notebook has.
Either post a screen shot of the chipset report, or let me know if it has either a GM or PM45 chipset, or a GL40 chipset.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you with that, since I have never upgraded a notebook processor before.
There is a complete set of steps to replace the processor in the service manual I posted above, in chapter 4.
