Hi,

Your PC supports max 8GB of DDR3L 1600Mhz RAM. The RAM will actually run at 1333Mhz. There is one slot, so you will need to replace the 4GB stick the PC came with. You can see this on page 2 of service manual (your processor being the Intel® Pentium® N3540)

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04409502

You can follow the steps on page 76 of service manual to upgrade RAm. In your PC it is more complex, as you need to remove the motherboard to get to the RAM slots.

You can also look at these HP videos which can help with upgrade (click on memory in list on left)

See: www.crucial.com

There is a downloadable program on Crucial's web-site that will diagnose your computer, and recommend compatible RAM.

Or, look at page 16 of: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04409502#

to see a diagram showing one removable stick of RAM.

Then, page 18 states that the one stick can either be 2GB or 4GB or 8GB.

Note that HP manuals are not guaranteed to be error-free.

Use that program from CRUCIAL to get confirmation.
