Envy m6 FX-8800p
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I have a HP Envy m6 with the AMD FX-8800p and 6 gb of RAM.

I would like to upgrade to 16GB and put in a SSD.

These are the products I would like to upgrade with:

The SSD I would like to install

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OBRE5UE/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

The RAM I would like to install

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KQCOV5C/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

The manual is confusing. It says this:

Memory

Two non-accessible/upgradable memory module slots DDR3L-1600 dual channel support

Support for 16-GB of system RAM in the following conƭgurations

● 8192-MB (8192-MB×1, 4096-MB×2) ● 6144-MB (4096-MB+2048-MB

Hi,

Thanks.

For RAM: The manual says

Two non-accessible/upgradable memory module slots
DDR3L-1600 dual channel support
Support for 16-GB of system RAM

For SSD:

You can use any standard SATA III SSD. Please try the one around 2TB or under for easy to manage.

The following vendor supplies good and COMPATIBLE both RAM and SSD

     http://uk.crucial.com/gbr/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP---Compaq/envy-m6-n113dx

And you can use the second last manual on the following link to work for your upgrades
