HP ProBook 4520s
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My computer has become a bit laggy and I was wondering if I could buy a DDR4 RAM and upgrade my PC. It had earlier used DDR3 RAM so I wanted to confirm if a DDR4 RAM will be compatible.

Hi:

DDR4 memory is not compatible with your notebook.

It runs at a different voltage, has a different number of contact pins and the slot is cut in a different place than it is on DDR3 memory, making it impossible for the DDR4 memory to be installed in the memory slot.
