Pavilion 15-cc123
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My internal hard drive recently failed and I’d like to use this opportunity to upgrade it a bit. I know that there are mainly two sizes 2.5” & 3.5” and that my laptop uses a 2.5” . But then I read that there are different sizes of 2.5” , 9mm, 7.2mm , 7mm etc. So I’d like to know if my laptop can use a seagate barracuda ST1000LM048 harddrive.

Machine supports for 6.35-cm (2.5-in) hard drives in 7.2-mm (.28 in) and 9.5-mm (.37 in) thicknesses (all hard drives use the same bracket).

Yes, you can use
