Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello there, I was just wondering if I can upgrade my laptop and put an m.2 2280 ssd in it. After reading the manual for a bit, I still couldn't understand because there are some conflicting informations. Anyways here is my laptop specs:

Laptop Hp 14-bs0xx:

- Celeron N3060 2 core 2 thread 1.6ghz base 2.48 ghz boost

- 4 GB DDR3L 1600mhz sodimm memory

-500gb 5400rpm Hard Disk Drive

I hope this is enough, I heard if you put an SSD to a weak and old laptop you can make it better. Any ideas?

The Celeron N versions in that series have no M.2 port...the prior post you linked shows the motherboard of a model with an Intel i3 processor. Yours will have the outline of an M.2 port on the motherboard but no way to actually connect an M.2 SSD. You need to think in terms of replacing the 5400 rpm spinning hard drive with a 2.5 inch SATA SSD. It is still a very big upgrade and well worth doing. Post back if you need any more help and please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.

Hmm does the storage size matter for the new ssd? Can I just buy like a 1 tb ssd?

Sure if you want to spend that much. No size limit other than the biggest offered in the market. I have seen 4 TB 2.5 inch SATA SSDs.
