See that's the thing, HP charges for support on legacy models so you may get support from who you purchased it from, and documentation is hard to find on specific models. For example I can only find documentation on my laptop for second generation when in fact mines is first gen. So you have to pool together information. To answer your question I am not sure of your bios limitations.

the chart referred is a chart of processors. It does not say which processor can be substituted for another. which I5 can be used and an upgrade for an intel Pentium I3?
