Your specs:

         Processor:
        Intel® Celeron®N3050 Processor
        Memory: 4GB
      Hard drive: 500GB 5400RPM

 Your Service Manual:

8 GB memory module  693374-001

Memory installtion is shown on page 30.

You have one memory slot and the processor is very underpowered so memory is one of the only options to speed it up. Yes 8 gigs would help, but don't expect miracles. The best speed upgrade would be a solid state drive. Post back if you are interested in pursuing that option.

Hey I'm actually interested in upgrading my hp 15f233wm. What solid state drive would you recommend or specifications that would be required? Please and thank you

HP Recommended

Any 2.5 inch wide SATA SSD:

This would be the smallest size (capacity) I would recommend:

Post back  if you need any more help.

I have the same laptop is there anyway to get a faster frame rate on this laptop
HP Recommended

Frame rates? Like gaming? No it is not suitable for any kind of serious gaming. It can barely run Windows.

HP Recommended
So this laptop is not upgradable to get a faster frame rate for game play
HP Recommended

Now you are getting it. That is generally true of consumer laptops because the only component that determines frame rates to any great extent is the video chip and in 99.9% of laptops the video chip is soldered to the motherboard. In your case it was a very inexpensive laptop designed for Aunt Martha to post on Pinterest. Anyone who sold that to you as capable of any kind of gaming other than Candy Crush deserves to be keel-hauled.

actually, contrary to youre statement " Anyone who sold that to you as capable of any kind of gaming other than Candy Crush deserves to be keel-hauled." and " it was a very inexpensive laptop designed for Aunt Martha to post on Pinterest. "

that is incorrect buckaroo, i am able to play Garrys Mod on default setting on 50+ fps with occasional stutter almost everyday. i can play rocket league on low settings on around 40 fps constant.

with no upgrading on this exact laptop. :generic:

enjoy candy crush vro.
