Can my HP Laptop 14-cf2112wm use an SSD? It has the space in the case but no connector.

I ran out of storage and would like to keep the old drive in the laptop. Any help would be appreciated.

It may be possible to upgrade the storage with a M.2 SATA SSD if your notebook has a M.2 SSD slot on the motherboard.

Solved: updating storage on HP Laptop 14-cf2033wm - HP Support Community - 8917501

The thing is...If it has a M.2 SSD slot, I don't know if the slot is active in the notebooks with the 64 GB eMMC drives.

On some models it is and on some it isn't.

Thank you for your help. I think we are going to buy a small external drive to make it simple and fastest way to get me up and ruining.
