I have a HP ENVY dv7 Notebook PC, Product number: C2Y66AV and installed a SSD drive and installed my OS. I ordered the kit so I could install a 2nd HD that I could use for another drive.
Everything is fine and the computer boots just fine until I hookup the 2nd hard drive. When I do, I get the following screen:

When I hit the esc key I get the following screen:
https://photos.google.com/search/_tra_/photo/AF1QipNXGx-7vHjKYAkxcNMSXBxRHW-R0TkkQV9eaodq
I select the f9 key to boot select the "Boot Device Options"
Then I get the following screen:

I have to select the 2nd "OS Boot Manager" in order for the computer to boot because if I select the 1st one it takes me back to the screen of the 1st image I posted about needing to do a recovery.
I did go in to my bio because I thought I could just change the boot order but I am having a hard time understanding the bio's because its not very clear on what I need to do in order to fix this. Here is what the bio's says under boot options:

Can anyone help me on what I need to do for the computer to boot.
Thanks so much for your help!

Your Product number is a Custom to Order so hard to tell what hardware you have. Your model might have a 32 gig mSATA mSSD drive installed and if so it will interfere with booting by a SSD.
See pages 72 and 73 of the Manual here:

No just saying if you did have the mSATA mSSD (small hard drive not like your 2.5 inch SSD) it needs to be removed if you want to use a primary SSD drive. Where did you get the second hard drive caddy and cable? If adding the second hard drive causes issues we maybe need to focus on the cable.

When I installed the ssd, I took out the Harddrive and used the same cable and spot where the harddrive use to be and then I used the kit to install the old harddrive in the 2nd harddrive spot.
here is where I go the kit. It's the same part # as HP said I needed:

Well it is knockoff not a genuine HP part so it might be defective. In fact that would be the most likely scenario. Genuine HP Parts can be defective, too but it seems to happen more often with aftermarket clones.
Look at the reviews. Others have received a defective cable and one user says you have to update the BIOS or it will not work. Did you try that?

Ya, I formated the 2nd drive. I also did some more digging in to this and found a few video's on YouTube that I am going to try...

Going to try this and will let you know if it works.
