I just bought an LG 38WK95C-W monitor. When I connect it to my laptop it asks for 3840x1600 in resolution. I have 3840x2160 as the closest option. Tried to update the drivers but without success (the latest drivers are from 2018!). Everything looks stretched on the screen. What could I try to fix this? Is it possible to upgrade the graphics card on the HP Spectre x360-13-ac082no?

Welcome to the HP support community.
Update the Bios, chipset and graphics drivers using HP Support Assistant.
Download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: Click here
HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
-
Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
-
Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
-
Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
-
Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
-
Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Also ensure Windows is up to date.
Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available
Let me know how it goes.

After trying everything in terms of updating drivers and software I finally found the solution. It was a hardware issue. I tried a different adapter between the monitor and laptop and it worked! Both adapters convert HDMI to USB-C but for some reason, only one of them supports the 3840x1600 resolution. The strange thing is that when I bought the adapters it said nothing about support for different resolutions. So how are you supposed to know as a customer?

This might require one on one interaction to fix the issue.
I request you to talk to HP support.
They might have multiple options to help you with this.
- Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
- Select the country.
- Enter the serial of your device.
- Select the country from the drop-down.
- Click on "Show Options".
- Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
I hope that helps.
