HP Notebook - 15-ay014dx (Touch) (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello all!

I recently received AirPods for my birthday and wish to use them with my HP Notebook. I've confirmed with various sources that I should be able to use AirPods with a Windows PC since they are Bluetooth-based. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get the PC to detect them at all.

I tried following this guide, but I get this error message:

Furthermore, I looked into the problem and it appears I'm missing a toggle switch to enable/disable Bluetooth on this settings page. Could that be the problem? I attached a screenshot of what the settings page looks like below.

I don't understand the problem. Does this model of PC not support Bluetooth? I got this PC in late 2016 so it's not that old. I've never used Bluetooth on this PC so I'm a bit new to the process. I've already tried restarting the PC, shutting down the PC, downloading updates, nothing works. I also can't find any Bluetooth driver in the Device Manager (other sources were saying I should reinstall the Bluetooth driver, but it doesn't exist).

Thanks!

The specs of your machine is

It only has  802.11b/g/n (1x1) w/o Bluetooth. Quick option: use a dongle

There are many brands and models around, cheaper too.
