I can't initiate "Battery Safe mode". I press "Win Key+Backspace Key+Power button", but it ordinary turns on. I have tried to do it in both ways: short-time press and long-time one. What should I do?

Originator clearly followed  HP instructions to initiate 'ship mode' and this did not work.  The response of the HP employee, Joel, was simply to provide a link to instructions identical to those that had already failed, which was obviously useless.  I have the same problem and repeated calls to the HP support line have, to date, failed to identify the cause of the problem or its solution.

I provided the link to the Customer Advisory because I wanted to make sure the original customer was following the exact procedures for placing a unit into Battery Ship Mode.  If the exact steps are not followed the unit will not enter into Battery Ship Mode.

I have let support know that you are having problems getting your unit(s) into Battery Ship Mode.  They should be reaching out to you concerning your issue.

You need to update your BIOS version.
