Currently I have a 8 GB 2400 MHz frequency RAM installed on my laptop. I wanted to upgrade the RAM and add another 8 gigs. While searching RAM online, I found a 8 GB RAM but with a frequency of 2666 MHz. I wanted to run the RAM's on dual channel. I want to know if the RAM's despite having different frequencies will run on dual channel?? And the brands of the RAM are also different. So, can u help me with this??

Hi:
Yes, the memory should run in dual channel mode because the DDR4-2666 MHz memory is going to automatically bridge to 2400 MHz to match the speed your notebook's i5-8250U processor can run the memory at, which is a max of 2400 MHz.
As long as the memory you buy is compatible with your notebook, everything should work fine.
