Spectre x360 13 ap0013dx

I am buying  spectre 13 ap0013dx but it's with 8 GB ram, can I install optane memory in it? Or increase its ram?

Thanks

Hello @Amgoreja,

RAM is soldered across the HP Spectre x360 13.3" lineup therefore upgrades are impossible.

As for the Intel Optane, you'll have to check whether the motherboard has another PCIe slot, which is possible as some of these devices do come with Intel Optane, but I would ultimately advise against. Your device already comes with a high-speed PCIe NVMe drive and Intel Optane is quite unnecessary - it's simply a drive accelerator that's most effective on hard drives and low-cost SSDs.

And I can attest to the fact that the models HP releases with only PCIe NVMe drives but no Intel Optane storage accelerators are actually faster as I would assume they house better SSDs. I know this as I actually own two late 2018 HP Spectre x360 13.3" models, one with Intel Optane and one without.
