Can you please tell me if i can upgrade my laptop with an SSD and which one- normal or M.2 ? My model name is 15-da0xxx.

Hi:

 

What model Intel processor does your notebook have?

 

Notebooks with the Intel core processor have a M.2 slot that supports both SATA and NVMe M.2 SSD's.

 

Notebooks with the Pentium/Celeron processors do not have a M.2 slot, so you would have to replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SSD.

 

Below is the link to the service manual.  Chapter 1 has the supported drive types.

You can install either a M.2 SATA or NVMe SSD in your notebook, and 2 x 8 GB of memory.

 

See chapter 1 of the service manual.
