Hello @Sarks, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP PC.

We appreciate the opportunity to assist you and are glad we could help work toward a resolution. We hope our support has been valuable.

Because specific Windows 11 Pro 25H2 drivers are not available from HP for your PC, you can use Windows tools and basic checks to address both the driver and backlight issues.

1. Check if Your HP Notebook Has a Backlit Keyboard

  1. Look for a small keyboard/light icon on the function keys (often F4 or F5).
  2. If you do not see a keyboard backlight icon: - Go to support.hp.com. - Search for your exact notebook model. - Open Product Information → Product Specifications. - Check the specifications to confirm whether your keyboard supports backlighting.

If the notebook does not list a backlit keyboard, the backlight cannot be enabled in BIOS or Windows.

2. Turn On and Adjust the Keyboard Backlight (if supported)

If your model does have a backlit keyboard:

  1. Press the keyboard backlight key (for some models, hold Fn + backlight key).
  2. Press the backlight key two or three times in a row to cycle through brightness levels.
  3. If the backlight turns off after a few seconds, press any key or tap the touchpad to wake it again (it can turn off after inactivity).

3. Get Drivers for Windows 11 (Including Possible Keyboard/Backlight Drivers)

If HP does not list Windows 11 drivers for your model:

  1. Run Windows Update - Open Windows Update settings from the taskbar search. - Click Check for updates. - If updates are found, select Download & install. - Restart the computer after installation.
  2. Update Drivers via Device Manager - Search for and open Device Manager. - Expand Keyboards and any relevant device category (for example, System devices or Human Interface Devices). - Right‑click each device you suspect is related (keyboard, input devices) and select Update driver. - Choose Search automatically for drivers and follow the prompts. - Restart the computer to complete the installation.

These steps help install the latest drivers when HP’s site does not show specific Windows 11 or 25H2 packages.
